One of the funniest biking/bike racing stories you or I will likely ever hear. Click on the link below to be enlightened

The story was about the man pictured above. Hilarious..... Bob "Bobke" Roll
Bob Roll is known for his hilarious antics, as evident from the above story.
I actually had the pleasure of seeing him race (in his mountain bike racing days) when he came to my hometown NORBA race in Traverse City, MI back in the early nineties. I can still remember the goofy assed Softride bike he rode as much as his HUGE mutton chop sideburns.

The countdown continues to D-Day
Indeed, the countdown continues for Hilary and I to exit the sinful city of Las Vegas in just an oh sooooo short 2.5 glorious months. Unless I was not able to convey the sarcasm through the electronic media (known as the interweb to those in the know;), Hilary's residency is just about done here. We will be heading to Pocono mountains of Pennsylvania for 365 days and then my friends, we are free to live where WE please!
Can I get a hallelujah? Amen brother!!
Before we leave, I am excitedly awaiting my trip to meet up with Hilary in Big Sky country (i.e. Montana) to do a little skiing where there are mountains with ummm well snow. Novel 'eh?Pictures and a post I'm sure will follow.
Pretty soon, in my enthusiasm, I will merely post a countdown clock showing the days, minutes and seconds until our departure.
Now I should be clear I will NOT miss this town......at all, but I will be missing some folks I have come to know along the way. To those folks I surely hope we will continue to know and see each other in the future.
Good Day

Is there anybody OUT there.........
So it appears that I have very little to say as of late.......er uh the last four months. I still can't think of anything witty or interesting to say, not that anybody is probably reading this anyway, and if you are hope all is well and perhaps in the near future I will post something good for the world to read.

The "Lemond Loop"
So I don't have any pictures to post, simply just wanted the opportunity to share with you my experience from this past weekend.
I have a friend whose famous opening line to ask whether you are interested in doing a given activity goes like this......"so I got a bad idea, you in?" This weekends activity was befitting this opening line if ever there was one.
So we did a bike ride that apparently Greg Lemond used to do while he was growing up in NorCal/Northern Nevada (pre-Tour "Day" France era.....i think). The ride ended up being not that bad and quite scenic and enjoyable. The route that we followed started in Reno and rode over Mt. Rose summit and down in to Incline Village (i.e. Lake Tahoe shoreline), from there we rode south along the shoreline and climbed up to Spooner Summit, then made the descent down in to Carson City. From there we rode east (uphill) towards Dayton, where we rode up to and talked with a gentleman doing a tour to the Grand Canyon and on to Denver with a loaded bike weighing 100lbs!!!!! From here we headed up State Route 341 to Virginia City.......another 10+ mile climb before plunging back in to the valley and Reno.
All told we clocked 90 miles and a considerable amount of elevation gain and loss.........and gain, Good times were had by all.
Thank you and goodnight!
